Sending email is a crucial function to your business. If your company is having trouble with your customers receiving email, either by emails consistently going to your customer's junk folder or being outright rejected, chances are your company may need some adjustments made to your domain's DNS records. Or your company may have certain records missing.
Mainstream email providers such as Google and others have recently increased their requirements to what they deem is a legitimate email. Hackers are getting smarter and spoofing and phishing email campaigns have only gotten worse. To combat this problem, many email providers are requiring that your domain has a certain level of legitimacy to really prove that email came from you.
To improve on your domain's legitimacy for outgoing email, there are 3 records within DNS that your company needs. These are SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Each are public records that can be found with a lookup tool such as MXtoolbox.com, if you know what to look for. If you think your company is missing any one of these records or needs them revised, Network Engineering can help advise you to make these changes.
